For 2010, Max will be driving a Group N Subaru Impreza N12b for the British Rally Championship.
The car is an ex-production World Rally Championship Prodrive
built car, purpose built for rallying. The BRC is contested on both
Tarmac and Gravel and as a result, the car is designed to easily
adapt the setup to suit different surfaces and conditions. The
car has 285hp produced from a 2000cc 4 cylinder boxer engine, capable of up to 130mph and 0 – 60 mph in around 5 seconds.
For more information on the full spec and photos of the car, see Wug's section.
Since 2002, Max has been co-driving for Wug in various events around
the world, but has mainly been focused in the UK. Since 2005, Max has
been concentrating on his driving career. In 2007/08, he competed
in the UK Ford Fiesta Sporting Trophy (UK FST) and in 2008 achieved
2nd overall against over 30 competitors all in identical cars and was
one of the few competitors to finish all 6 rounds. This championship is
viewed as the breeding ground for today’s up and coming British Rally
Champions.
In 2009, Max decided to take a full-time break from rallying to finish his
degree, graduate, travel and secure a job, all of which he has achieved. At
the age of 23, Max will be competing in the BRC against many of his old
rivals from the UK FST, many of whom he beat and is recognised as a very
worthy competitor.
